Problem Statement
How do you translate a strong community culture into a clear, accessible visual brand and website?
Riverwalker Talent had a supportive community base, but lacked a formal visual identity and a clear web structure. The focus was on building a distinct visual style—logos, colors, typography, and icons—while fixing accessibility gaps so the site works easily for both job seekers and hiring partner companies.
Stage 1: Visual Identity & Accessibility Foundations
Starting from the ground up, I defined the core brand assets, making sure color contrast and inclusive design were baked in from the start.
Brand System: Designed the core visual assets, including logo options, typography rules, icon sets, and a color palette built to meet WCAG contrast standards.
Visual Consistency: Documented guidelines to keep the branding consistent across social graphics, external decks, and web pages.

Stage 2: Website Redesign & Accessibility Audit
To make the site easier to use for both candidates looking for work and companies looking to hire, I audited and restructured the web layout.
Accessibility Audit: Checked page structure, heading hierarchies, and keyboard navigation while adding proper alt text across visual elements.
Layout Redesign: Reorganized the layout so job seekers and corporate partners can find what they need without sifting through irrelevant information.

Conclusion & Next Steps
This work is ongoing as the platform continues to grow. Next steps involve refining the visual identity across new materials, applying user feedback to upcoming feature updates, and continuing to sharpen design skills along the way.
